Fundació IBIT - Illes Balears Innovació Tecnològica

The IBIT Foundation Health Department, through an agreement of collaboration with the IBSalut – OTIC (Office of Information and Communication Technologies), is collaborating on several technological projects related to the integration between health information systems.

The principal objectives of this collaboration are:

To maintain a group of technical experts with specialised training in matters of integration who have a profound knowledge of the health information systems environment of the Balearic Islands.
To offer the services of the group of technical experts to the different bodies of the IBSalut in order to participate in projects of integration together with the actors involved from different providers of health information systems, all under the coordination of the OTIC.
To take advantage of knowledge acquired from the various projects in which the group has participated to transfer it to other bodies of the IBSalut via the mobility of the technical experts of the group.

For this, the group of integration technical experts can rely on the personnel who physically work in different bodies of the IBSalut, such as the OTIC, Són Llàtzer Hospital and Són Dureta Hospital, all of which are coordinated by the main core of the group that is physically to be found at the IBIT Foundation.

The configuration of the integration group with regard to its physical distribution and the number of technical experts is dynamic and varies over time, depending on requirements and the number of projects.

RESEARCH AREA

This is an area that has been recently created and that at this moment is undergoing a process of expansion.

One of its main functions is that of obtaining financing via the participation in research projects financed with European, national or regional funds. To this end, proposals are drawn up and presented at various open official announcements for selection whenever appropriate. Similarly, work is also being carried out in collaboration with the Centre Balears Europa for the presentation of proposals.

The principal objectives of this group are:

To acquire knowledge from the outside world through participation in international projects.
To be up to date with new technologies, techniques and knowledge relating to interoperability.
To organise training sessions and courses to transfer know-how.

This group develops tasks related to health information technologies. Amongst these tasks are significant the participation in research projects or in technical committees (for example, the pharmacy subcommittee of the HL7 organisation to define a standard for the exchange of health information).

El principal objectiu d'aquest projecte és la investigació d'esquemes de transmissió sense fil d'altes prestacions amb baixos nivells d'interferència.
