Division of the tourism department by activities:
- Selling the tourist destination or product: promotion, sales.
- Managing the tourist destination or product: sustainable development, knowledge management, quality, environment, decision-making.
Division by technological areas:
- Ambient Intelligence (AmI): "wireless" technologies and networks, m-commerce, mobile devices, ubiquitous computing.
- Inter-operability databases and the semantic web: integration of ERP systems, CRM, EAI, Expert Systems, Ontologies, XML, P2P, agents,...
