[24-10-2006] The Jury for the Web Award 2006 is constituted
Bel Llodrà, digital communication
co-ordinator at the IBIT Foundation, has been chosen to be a member of the
jury of experts for the Web Award 2006 which
is being organised by BalearWeb, the organisation
bringing together and providing common services to MallorcaWeb, MenorcaWeb,
EivissaWeb and FormenteraWeb.
The other people making up the Web Award Jury are:
Pere Marí, reporter on Diario Mallorca specialising in
society, politics and new technologies; Pere Quintana,
PhD student from Météo-France; Oscar Renalias,
the founder LifeType and part of the
Nokia human team providing support and development
service to the company's own internal projects, and
Arnau Siches, accessibility and CSS make-up consultant at Capgemini.
The rules of the competition determine that
all websites and blogs created by
institutions, companies or individuals originating from or resident in the Balearic
Islands can take part in the competition, provided they use Catalan as the main
language on the website. The subject matter and content
are not restricted, except that websites with
illegal, violent, racist, xenophobic or
pornographic content are excluded. Hosting the website with the free
BalearWeb service is no longer a requirement for participation.
The period for entry ends on Friday 3
November 2006.
